A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.
Remember the overriding ethos on Beehaw: Be(e) Nice. Each user you encounter here is a person, and should be treated with kindness (even if they’re wrong, or use a Linux distro you don’t like). Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

hi. I see you registered your account here 2 days ago. welcome to Beehaw.
posting comments that boil down to "99% of you are stupid but luckily I'm here to educate you" is probably going to wear out your welcome pretty fast.
I registered on Beehaw just 2 days ago, but I've been using Lemmy instances for quite a long time.
Secondly, I don't really care if my account gets banned. So please refrain from threatening to ban my account.
...What? They're not threatening to ban you, and they're not a mod, so they can't anyways.
That said, announcing to the instance that you don't care about the consequences of breaking the rules kinda implies that you don't care about the rules either, and that is not a good look.
