The middle comment really shows how they never viewed them as a person to begin with.

Not to mention that it completely flippantly ignores that it's near impossible to come here legally. I have had friends where it took DECADES for them to get their citizenship. They want to pay taxes, they want to work here, and it just isn't easily a thing
