Are you suggesting a kid can't be morbidly obese? They can. My son was morbidly obese when he was removed from his birth parents. He's close to healthy range now, but at the time was grossly overweight for his height and age. He looked like a chubby kid, but nothing too crazy. He was 3. Many kids that are overweight are dangerously so, without looking morbidly obese, like an adult might. It also changes how their body works, so they are more likely to be morbidly obese as an adult.
Any kid that looks overweight at a young age is likely obese, at the least. Their parents need to act. We.were recommended DOR (division of responsibility) eating as a way for them to have a positive relationship with food. It's also very good for those that have a poor self image due to obesity, as it's about removing the food and eating habit from an emotional reaction to a sustenance and enjoyment action.
