Or generally a non-corpo platform where you don't have to give private details you don't want, trust e2ee chat privacy and most importantly don't have to please an algorithm.
If some neurodiverse prefer to stick to others which are similar, a good filter-system would be cool.
Now drifting into fantasy: peek would be a P2P system, where every member has a set of own attributes and attributes (and logical combinations of them) they seek. I think with the right crypto-math it would be possible that everyone can broadcast their set of preferences, the receiver can check if they match without seeing what the preferred attributes are. This would enable maximum privacy and still yield high accuracy.
Oh, don't even get me started on P2P distributed apps. That shit is so fucking cash but I can never convince anyone to use them. >_<
What apps did you try to establish?
I spend some time once comparing distributed / decentralized Chatapps (so not P2P, as this would be too inefficient). I got some friends to help me trying the stability of group chats. They helped me, even with enough implied eye-rolling, that I could have generated electricity from them :D
Mostly Retroshare, because the P2P and friend-of-a-friend onion routing are really compelling features.
Looks interesting. Could be useful for local networks during disasters or private organization.
It seems like it'd be a great space for niche and even moderately sized communities too, but it's never going to catch on. XD
