Which of these countries can you not even browse the open internet from, because of tight control over information, thus the population?
It's the same picture
it’s literally not, there’s only one of them where citizens aren’t allowed to use foreign social media
I meant the answer to both questions is China
Edit: just reading other comments, it is apparently no true what i assumed.
the soviet union never had access to the open internet. What existed in the West was ARPANET (1969), which evolved into NSFNET in the mid-1980s the backbone of what would become the internet.
And which one has a “great firewall” and criminal penalties for browsing Youtube or Reddit?
