Politics have consequences. When elected politicians vote to arms ongoing genocide, people die. When elected politicians vote to deny people healthcare, people die. Politics and its consequences is inherently violent.

Well, compared to such option, you can lie down and die, when the police cars decide to run over you for your peaceful protests, and have the right wing media commenters mock you for not moving. That'd be the most moral thing you can do.
