I have a Mitsubishi Electric "MSZ-GL06NA" and live in NYC.

Why does the heat pump never stop when set to the dehumidify mode?

The apartment just keeps getting colder and colder but never any drier(?).

When will it ever stop or Does it need servicing?

Just use the temp setting. AC already dehumidifies.

To could also get those bags of beads that absorb water and hang a few in the worst parts of the house. My mom has a fancy one that you can plug in to dry it out, but that just shifts the humidity unless you dry it outside.

The bag of beads sounds interesting... But I feel like the apartment is always humid (thus why I keep it on dehumidify mode)
