I personally think that this is a rare case where both the books and the TV series are equally good. The Expanse is both my favorite TV series and my favorite book series. What did you like better about the books?

I prefer literary descriptions, they can go into far more detail than a show can because who's going to tell an author "okay that's enough, next scene"

Don't get me wrong, I loved the show. Very unfortunate how things ended with THAT one actor though...

Yeah the whole thing with what's his face was disappointing. I agree with you about the descriptive nature of books in general though.
