I’m talking about a new game but made with old graphics and mechanics similar to Megaman 9 & 10.

I personally think such a thing could sell gangbusters and honestly go on record as one of the greatest Pokemon games ever made, especially in recent years.

Reposted from !games@lemmy.world, here (they got a lot of responses), figured this would definitely be appropriate here, especially since I complained in the !games post about it being posted there first instead of here. Might as well be the change I want to see in the world.

On the one hand, I kinda do... But they need to focus on basic QoL like being able to turn off battle animations...

On the other hand there are plenty of ROM hacks in the old style so we aren't exactly lacking on those
