Not to sound heartless, but the nasty political leanings of Brandon Eich are less important it this context than the fact that Brave is spyware and a cryptominer.
Not heartless at all. Some people care, others don't, and some people like the fact. I did include a link to a thread that goes into those events to try to cover both.
