Personally I don't see this as any different than anime animators using 3D renders or other CGI to relax their workload. And just like those cases there will be some anime where there you can barely tell there's any CG, and some where it's blatant and hastily done. Maybe even some that use 100% AI. This change is inevitable, because it already happened once, and I bet the outrage looked the same back then. "They're using computers instead of paying animators? Those cheap bastards, they have no respect for the art of anime."
I just hope they don't cut salaries.
