Socialism, universal basic income and proportional representation are never going to happen under the rule of a fucking King.

The UK is more socialist than the USA and has a King. The UK also has proportional representation in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The UK uses first past the post in Westminster because it democratically rejected the alternative vote in 2011. Universal Basic Income definitely can happen under a monarchy. I don't see how the monarchy makes it not the case. If it's because of a "rich head of state", Donald Trump, the democratically elected head of state of the USA is richer than our King. Even our previous prime minister was richer than our king.

Denmark, Norway, and Sweden are all still monarchies and they're doing alright on the socialism front
