I’m talking about a new game but made with old graphics and mechanics similar to Megaman 9 & 10.

I personally think such a thing could sell gangbusters and honestly go on record as one of the greatest Pokemon games ever made, especially in recent years.

Reposted from !games@lemmy.world, here (they got a lot of responses), figured this would definitely be appropriate here, especially since I complained in the !games post about it being posted there first instead of here. Might as well be the change I want to see in the world.

Idk… it might be cool, but the novelty may also wear off quick. Would the new game have the QoL improvements of modern games? If so I would say that gives it more appeal.

But to your point, I agree it would probably sell like crazy. Nolatslgia is a huge business.
