Yeah, I haven't listened to chapo in forever but there are a few ideas they dropped that really resonate; "hypocrisy doesn't matter" is absolutely one of them. Genuinely good lens.

The hypocrisy gotcha doesn’t work on fascists. They revel in double standards, the hypocrisy is a feature, not a bug. They believe in one set of rules that protect the in-group and another that binds the out-group. That’s the point.

Fascism isn’t built on scientific reasoning or universal morality but on dominance, power, and the appeal to feelings of supremacy. Trying to trap fascists in contradictions is a waste of time; they’ll change positions mid-argument without shame. The goal isn’t to debate them into reason but to deny them the thrill of impunity, to attach negative social and material consequences to being a fascist through shame, ridicule, social exclusion or physical force.

Fascists enjoy the pain and suffering they inflict it gives them joy, it's never about being right it's about being free to conduct themselves as they see fit without fear of nazi-punching
