/uj That's an old Eastern European greeting originating in Orthodoxy, even Peter and Paul kissed like that once, same thing with tsars in Russian Empire and also, as shown, Stalin(who was unfortunately homophobic). But yeah, it looks that way and today's homophobia in Russia is insufferable.

But I'm definitely strongly against bringing it back because current greetings here in Balkans are too much for me and I hate any physical contact beyond a handshake.
