This is such a teachable "leopards ate my face" moment for all Canadians.

Be Canada

Want to save money on healthcare

Agree to sell private firm to Americans

Get worse healthcare

Independence is reduced

Americans turn on you

Same thing is happening with the CBC right now, but nobody understands what's at stake!!

Be Canada

Want to save some money by not funding CBC, private media

Almost all conservative newspapers already owned by Americans

Agree to shut CBC down/defund/whatever

Americans start absolutely hammering us with propaganda

Have not a single way to defend ourselves

Not a single source of journalistic integrity left in Canada

Yeah good point. Local news too; Vancouver's local news are all US-owned private, same with radio
