Valeriano Orobón Fernández, born on this day in 1901, was a Spanish anarcho-syndicalist theoretician, trade union activist, translator, and poet who wrote the lyrics of the revolutionary song "A Las Barricadas".
Orobón believed in the organizational power of unions, believe that they would have a major role in reorganizing society in a more libertarian fashion. Orobón was also strongly opposed to the communist (i.e., Soviet) ideas in Spain during the Spanish Civil War.
Shortly before his untimely death from tuberculosis, Orobón wrote the words of "A Las Barricadas" to the tune of "Warszawianka 1905 roku", itself a well-known Polish revolutionary song. The anti-fascist tune became the anthem of the Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT), and one of the most popular songs of the Spanish anarchists during the Civil War.

There's a lot that can go wrong with the maintenance of a body. Then there's things you might want to do to a body that's not in pursuit of fixing a physical ailment. Even when you're talking about teeth which are special bones in the sense that they need a different expert (apart from the different consideration in cost where I obviously support privatized insurance-based mush), you might need a gum tissue expert or a tooth straightening expert instead of the cleaning expert. Some people are experts in nose throat mouth or joints or genitals or muscles. Some people's expertises are in a class of illness. Some are experts in a class of chemical intervention (prescription or anesthesia). Some people like a specific machine. Then even still some of them are surgeons and they might like a specific type of surgery. Some of those surgeons like giving people big honkers. And different age ranges/demographics might need different experts for a lot of them!! With the understanding that (perhaps in theory alone) doctors hand waving and making assumptions is antithetical to first doing no harm, they concede that they are not that good at a certain field and your problem needs its due diligence so that they don't fuck it up and miss something obvious. In order to get that futuristic "yeah, for your colonoscopy you need like a Gatorade bottle of bullshit and a pill" or "knee replacement is outpatient :)" or "tuberculosis? We can cure that" or "all the tendons in my leg snapped, I'll be out for 3 weeks!!!" each realm has experts.
The purpose of this? I don't know. I think medical intervention is interesting.
