Unlike Russia, Ukraine mostly only targets military facilities. Of course there could be civilian casualties, like maybe in the oil refineries they bombed inside Russia, but they DON'T target civilians, but the strategic positions which may have civilians. Meanwhile Russia DOES target civilians in hospitals and schools.
I admit there are probably civilian casualties caused by Ukraine, but its an ant. Now lets address the elephant in the room: Russian caused civilian casualties and war crimes.
I am surprised you haven't heard of it, for I constantly see people talking about it.
Well here is the FBI talking about the war crimes Russia has done: https://www.fbi.gov/investigate/civil-rights/international-human-rights-unit/russian-war-crimes-in-ukraine
It doesn't say much, but the title explicitly says Russian war crimes. Though the article does not explain what war crimes Russia has committed, I chose the FBI's government website so that you don't imply its an untrusted source. Of course there are many other sources that cover this, since you can just google it (or Firefox it since we are in the fediverse) and there will be thousands of evidence, but you are just to lazy to research yourself.
I don't think anyone on the anglonet has any room to condemn any other nation.
Russian crimes do not excuse Ukraine's. This is whataboutism.
Yes I already addressed this, if you read my previous comments 'Of course just saying "the other guys are worse" is problematic, but I repeat Ukrainian soldiers did not try to hurt civilians.'
What I am saying is not simply that Russia killed more civilians so Ukraine is ok. I am saying that Ukrainian's attacks are fundamentally different since they target strategic positions (which may or may not have civilians) rather than targeting civilian infrastructure. Ukraine attacks are accepted by NATO and does not violate any international laws. In fact a lot of Ukrainian soldiers were trained by NATO countries and follow their rules.
