I think that's just because the tariffs weren't as bad as the market had priced in. After the election and Trump can stop pretending about his motives to get Polievre elected, either he'll dump tariffs on a Liberal government, or Polievre will bend over for the full USian dicking we know is going to happen, and the dollar will take a shitkicking.
