pointing out the hypocrisy means nothing to these people. their entire philosophy is about making it legally not a hypocrisy. they want laws that protect them and don't limit them while they have an other that the laws don't protect but do limit.

This has come to be known as 'Wilhoit's Law,' based on an online comment from a music composer:

It does help prevent more people from falling under their spell. It just needs to be done on every issue.
