Cory Booker has been filibustering for a while, but there's no legislation that he's stalling.

Because he won't do anything, friend. Dems like Booker have had years to do anything of subtance and have been devoted to missing every chance to flex their power when they are in control. This isn't purity politics, "letting perfect be the enemy of good", this is recognizing it's a futile and comical gesture to appear like he's doing something of worth.

Leftists have been not only calling on liberal politicians to do something, anything of import for decades, but also trying to spread awareness that it is simply not in the interest of any Democratic Party member to actually shake up the American politcal landscape. They depend upon this late capital hellscape's status quo, on its slow descent into bald faced fascism and self cannibalization (not to mention the ever accelerating ravaging of the Global South), token gestures mean nothing because no amount of cheering or jeering from the sidelines will get them to do anything useful.

I don't disagree with anything you're saying but I fail to see how what he's doing is viewed as not doing anything.

He already threw one days session away. That's small but it's not nothing it is mostly nothing though won't disagree there lol.

That said it's gotta start somewhere, idk what the point in shitting on someone for doing something (even if it's small) is going to accomplish.

That said I appreciate your comment it's fair points.

He's demonstrating that doing nothing, a purely performative gesture, is enough to get people like you to clap and donate.

He's moving the Overton window on Trump resistance from barely effectual to absolutely toothless.
