Yep. There is a goulish genre of video on YouTube discussing how much fuel cost / time savings on logistics on trade from Europe to China, NA to Asia, etc if only the Polar Bears learn how to swim. The Polar Bears aren't actually discussed, though. The slight problem of rising sea levels drowning a substantial portion of the world seems to be ignored in these videos as well.

Bigger share of the polar EEZ. Oil & natural resources, trade routes and russias polar fleet passes through the waters of greenland, military base (which it already is), Big Island that would be easy to control (and settle with white people).
