Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

The engineers work for him. If they tell them they're not safe, he has an obligation to do the right thing and not put it to market. If they tell him its safe but its not, he has an obligation to pull it from market. He culpable for the actions of his company.

this is all true, and he's responsible for those deaths, but that's in his professional life. this man has like had his bodyguards hold someone down so he could hit them a bunch over like a D&D game or raped a girl or something. something incredibly petty and personal. I don't know what.

[–] Retropunk64@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'm not sure why the distinction between his professional and personal life is important.

[–] melpomenesclevage@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

that's fair. I'm just saying it's not all greed, he's also a horrible piece of shit in more familiar pedestrian ways.

[–] Retropunk64@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

None of us in this comment chain said it was greed.

i read it somewhere, but it is at least implied.

I certainly wasn't implying it. I think he's just an evil POS.

'evil' is an overbroad kind of, like, umbrella term about your feelings. not useless in general outside the context of discussing the particulars of how and why a spectacular piece of shit is so densely shitty while still being so splattery.
