This is a Lemmy Community for perchance.org, a platform for sharing and creating random text generators.

Feel free to ask for help, share your generators, and start friendly discussions at your leisure :)

This community is mainly for discussions between those who are building generators. For discussions about using generators, especially the popular AI ones, the community-led Casual Perchance forum is likely a more appropriate venue.

  • We would like to ask to refrain from posting here needing help specifically with prompting/achieving certain results with the AI plugins (text-to-image-plugin and ai-text-plugin) e.g. "What is the good prompt for X?", "How to achieve X with Y generator?"
  • See Perchance AI FAQ for FAQ about the AI tools.
  • You can ask for help with prompting at the 'sister' community Casual Perchance, which is for more casual discussions.
  • We will still be helping/answering questions about the plugins as long as it is related to building generators with them.

Perchance changes Katherine to Katrice or C Katherine (lemmy.world)

Is there a way to get Perchance to stop saying 'Katrice' or 'C Katherine' whenever I try to use the name 'Katherine'? I've tried changing it every time. Even having the character correct someone in the story, hoping that the AI would learn .But it still changes it to Katrice each time.

The current text generation model is quite bad in a lot of different ways that are unfortunately hard to fix. If you're talking about perchance.org/ai-character-chat then you could use custom code to do a replacement - you'd paste this in the custom code box in the character editor (click "show more" and scroll down):

Alternatively, you could grit your teeth and bear it for another few months until I upgrade the text gen model - the new model will be a lot smarter and have fewer weird idiosyncrasies like this. Currently I'm finalizing the big image generation model upgrade, and working on a multiplayer plugin, and then next on the list is the text gen upgrade. Ideally I'll finish upgrading the text gen model some time during April.

hey since this topic is somewhat relevant. will this model be supporting LoRAs or other similar stuff? so it will be possible to create characters consistently in RPGs or chats

Do you have any plans to open up some of the AI settings, such as temperature and token count? It would be really helpful when setting up different kinds of text generation.
