Wonder how many people die from kawasaki (kids), or some autoimmune stuff, or after an organ transplant, waiting for an IVIG infusion spot. If you've never done the infusion, it's complicated, it's long, it's not fun. As a nurse it's very annoying to run because it's finicky and it's pretty much 1 to 1 care for somewhere around an hour or more. How many burn victims or people with neophrotic syndrome are gonna suffer waiting to afford or just get albumin.
Albumin comes from donors, people who volunteered their time (or were paid for it) to give part of themselves to someone else. I dunno if this guy took from the donor supply, but anyone he got albumin from directly could have donated that.
All so he can chase an impossible dream of living forever because the very rich can't conceive of a future without them. Increasingly, I think the rest of us are too
You wanna know the secret to long life and good health - well, we don't really have it lol. But keeping up physical exercise, eating well and healthy, not having stress at work or daily life, avoiding or reducing alcohol and smoking, attending a physical once in a while and getting your teeth checked, all of that would do more than the weird biohacking this guy is doing. And so little of it is reachable by people and depends on society rather than any individual effort.
How the fuck can you council a single mom working a few jobs to try and reduce the stress in their lives or to give their kids healthy food when they can only afford the subsidized crap we produce as a society, or tell someone to get a check up that costs them so much money and if the doctor finds something they might not even be able to afford to treat anyway. There is no individual pull up your boot straps to getting people into good health, this is a societal effort and the people in charge of production and distributing goods (not any of us) have decided you're not important enough to spend the effort getting you healthy.
