I mean they were the basic all black pair. $70 was way too much for them considering how fragile they were. There’s a skate shop that sells beefier ones but I don’t want a heavy shoe, I want something fairly light and a bit breathable.
My guilty pleasure is a pair of Atwood. I know people say things about those who wear Vans but I like the Atwoods and that's that.
That being said yeah Vans don't last long. The sole edge is the first to start coming undone, near the ball of the foot where it flexes most often. Then the heel fabric rips off on the inside. And finally they actually start ripping holes in the wall of the shoe, usually near the heel sides in my case.
