I have a 2021 rebel 500 and thinking of getting a radiant cycles shorty, but according to my google search, exhaust not only muffles the noise, but also improves engine performance.

so my question is, if i change my stock exhaust to radiant cycle shorty, will it affect my engine performance? Does it hurt my engine? thanks!

It's not usually enough power to make a big difference, and it can raise the noise level to a point where you might not like how it sounds on longer rides. Some can provide weight reduction, but again not a lot.

I see, thanks. I should of rephrase my question since I just want to refresh things up a bit by change how my bike sounds, but afraid that it might do harm to my engine
