I have an "Ultimate + VPN - 12 Month" package with Tweaknews. My Internet connection speed is a 1000 Mbps download and upload speed.

I have run speed tests and can achieve 980Mbps download speeds using many different services.

However I can't get more than 500Mbps from tweaknews using any of your supported ports. 119, 443 or 563 with 60 workers or threads.

I have tested connecting to Tweaknews using multiple different Newsreaders and get the same results where I'm limited to 500Mbps speeds.

I am able to download at speeds of 980Mbps using game clients and speed tests.

I am downloading to an SSD drive.

I currently only have frugal. I got it cuz it was cheap and I was new. I am currently looking for a supplemental newshoster on a different backbone from omicron.

i have about 30 saved seeks on nzbgeek for various regularly published PDFs.

I started adding individual rss feeds for each one to SABnzdb before noticing a small icon on the saved seeks page which is 'export saved seeks' that outputs an xml of some kind (no expert tbh). It got me wondering though..

is there way of adding all my saved seeks as one rss feed to sab, or do i have to do them one by one?

Location: Australia

I'm getting very slow transfer speeds on news.newshosting.com, averaging 500 KB/s.

Ruled out any local issues

  • using file transfer speeds.
  • setting up NZBGet and SABNZBD to compare results.
  • Running NZBGet and SABNZBD on multiple hosts.
  • After that I set up a trial on Eweka and now I'm consistently maxing out my download speed.

I've reached out to support but I'm wondering if anyone else has seen the same issues as me.

Cheers. JT

It's been a long time since I used it. Just discovered that virtually all music archives are now password protected. What's the deal with that? Never ran into that in the past.

Don't get me wrong, Newshosting is wonderful. Great prices, and quite good for completion. But recently I have been running into times and places where for certain dates, a lot of bits of things are missing. So I'm wondering if I can get word of a really good back-up service that has different servers than Newshosting, for times Newshosting is missing articles.

Also wondering about other good ways to look for things that just doing searches on Newsbin Pro, which is sometimes hit or miss. (Search for something 20 times in slightly different ways, and eventually what I am looking for might show up, when earlier searches should have turned it up.) So would also love to hear of other good places to search.

Sadly, binsearch has been being of less and less help in the recent past, frequently not turning up anything at all.

Any advice or suggestions?

I'm new to usenet, but Im still a little confused what the difference between a provider and indexer is. The definitions seem to suggest that the provider is the source of the ISOs, but I constantly hear people talk about using different indexers to get better search results of their ISOs. Can someone clear this up for me?

I have sonarr and sab, and I have been running DS and NZBPlanet as indexers. It has mostly worked for my ISOs. But I have a couple ISOs that either cannot be found or download and fail. Today I added ninja and su, but that only grabbed a few more ISOs. I'm still missing a lot of the same ones as before.

I've been using ngPost for the last couple of days and I have a few questions so I'd appreciate feedback from you guys using it or knowing what I do wrong independently.

I want my uploads to disappear so no one can find them unless I supply the corresponding nzb. That's the ultimate goal. I'm not on a power trip, if it was up to me I'd give it to anyone but I can't have them deleted by the trolls.

I don't rar. The files go up in their glory wholesomeness and I use ngPost article obfuscation. According to u/mbruel that should be enough to hide it properly and it could only be found with the nzb.

I've uploaded a couple of files, large ones, and used binsearch and nzbindex to check if they found any of my uploaded files/parts. They did not. But that doesnt mean much since they might not even be indexing the groups I used.

Anyhow, I used a newsreader to go straight to the groups I've used to post the files and I could only find them when using the obfuscated subject line.

However, the found article then shows the attachment unobfuscated in plain english.

I don't think that's what I want, is it? My newsreader does not allow me to search for attachment names, only for subject lines or poster ID, but I assume there are some, that do? Or at least one could program such functionality. And even if not, why wouldn't trolling people just download everything posted and then scan the attachments and have offending stuff deleted?

I guess my question is, why does ngPost not obfuscate the attachment name? File name obfuscation only seems to work when using rar.

Hello, guys. I'm newbie in all this Usnet stuff and i'm trying to undestand if using it is worth for me. I'm interested in getting as much new movie releases as possible. As far as i know, mostly they get uploaded to private torrent trackers and only several hours later they get leaked to open ones. Is there some indexers that have leaks from sites such as HBD for example?

For example: i searched one exact rip (from Feynmanium release group) in both open trackers and indexers like Geek, NZBfinder, NZBplanet and Ninja, and didn't find anything, only LAMA and AOC releases. So generally my question is do some private indexers (like Drunken slug may be) have "fast" movie releases leaks from private trackers? And do they have their own internals group?

Hi

I'm noob in Usenet and automatization but maybe You can help. After adding some series in sonarr sometimes getting error like this (5-10% of my downloads)

10 hours ago Error renaming "/volume1/Downloads/complete/tv shows/XYZ/Season 2/_UNPACK_XYZ.1080p.BluRay.R10Bit.Dts-HDMa5.1.H265-d3g" to "/volume1/Downloads/complete/tv shows/XYZ/Season 2/XYZ.1080p.BluRay.R10Bit.Dts-HDMa5.1.H265-d3g

Of course XYZ is name of popular show aired few weeks ago (but not only for this). Is there any settings in SABnzbd or Sonarr to retry after task failed?

Im having 1 provider + 3 indexer. Ps just checked the all that files are ok after manual download and available on 2 indexers.

Im getting sick of my wife using these shitty streaming sites to stream 320p looking content and want to setup something more elegant for her, but it needs to be simple.

I'm seeing this toolset stack posted a lot but there's very little explanation to what each one does and the end to end integrations other than "it's for automation".

Is it possible to have a nice UI for content that's available through geek, being able to click it, and then having a nice UI that shows download progress and have it auto play when it's done all through one UI?

Any suggestions? thanks

I use eweka w/ NewsLazer. For the most part it works, but I find it seems to download incredibly fast (just viewing the interface), but there's latency with it actually writing the files to disk. It's like it's storing them in RAM or something and then writing them later? Is that what it's doing? Sort of like buffering them? It puts a little icon next to each file (an orange "construction zone" icon, a "disk" icon, and a green checkmark). Is there some way to just write them directly to disk even if that means a slower DL speed?

Not a representative of ninja central, but you should try them out. I find that the nzbs they find aren't present on other indexers, and they have their own internal release group.

one of the better indexers.

They have a free tier, but to keep it you have to login every 14 days.

i personally like them as they have their own releases and take requests on discord (no guarantees)

Hi everyone! I just started getting into Usenet and so far it’s working extremely well. But this is mostly for the more popular stuff.

At the moment I am only using NZBgeek and usenet crawler.

Does anyone have any good indexer recommendations for harder to find independent movies, documentaries, arthouse and other experimental stuff?

Cheers

I'm trying to download some isos but it'll always fail. I think I'm good in terms of providers and need more indexers but I might as well ask just to be sure.

here's a list of my providers.

  1. Frugal + Bonus Frugal
  2. eweka
  3. BlockNews (block)
  4. ViperNews (block)

When it comes to indexer I only have DrunkenSlug right now, I used to have nzb su and NZBGeek but my subscription ended recently. should I add both of them again or is there something better?

Hi guys, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I am in a bit of a bind. I downloaded sonarr and Radarr and set them up exactly as the website outlined. As part of sonarr I even downloaded and installed mono all from their respective official website. I then went and created an account with NZBGeek and input that data into sonarr and did a look up and download request for a show.

I was waiting for it to download when I noticed an alert which led me to settings where I had to add a downloader, so I went and downloaded NZBGet. For the life of me I just could not get sonarr and NZBGet to connect no matter what I tried. (This is my first time ever venturing in Usenet) after a couple of restarts I noticed that my wifi was all of a sudden showing me debugging information and now my keyboard (2013 MacBook Pro inbuilt keyboard) was no longer typing out letters but instead special characters making it unusable.

I have tried rebooting, tried to wipe my laptop and even restore from Time Machine but nothing has worked so far. I have deleted all the software but no luck. I am hope one of you beautiful misfits can help with this issue.

Thanks so much for helping!!

Edit: I just know everyone will ask this but I have no idea what a docker is. I just installed all of this on my inbuilt hard disk.

Like if someone would upload show A from company 1 and company 1 would request takedown of that post and try to get the identity of the uploader. What are the chances of show B from company 2 then also getting removed because they were uploaded by the same uploader? (Provided it was always used a different posting address but that can be any random address someone put into their Upload Software).

My understanding is that providers like vipernews.com don’t Even store Upload Headers/logs (message-id’s) for more than 14 days anymore?

Wasn’t there that one case of a copyright company / studio going after one particular uploader and since he always used the same name (or account) they wanted to go after him for ALL of his uploads he ever did?

Can it still be tracked which Usenet account uploaded what after like 2 years? (E.g. could you go to Highwinds/Edeka and ask them for the account details of the uploader of post xyz ?)

I know vpn and untraceable payment method should be used for serious uploading anyways but I’m still curious about the topic regarding privacy in general and data retention (risk of all old posts getting auto-dmca‘d because the account did upload one copyright protected piece of content, even though all their other posts weren’t copyright protected content).

I am looking for an indexer that provides scene releases only or has a filter to exclude P2P stuff. Also any indexer with an active request page please would be great.

Another thing, is there such thing as a site with the above filter functionality and music genre as part of the filter?

My search has been getting polluted with the amount of P2P groups that overtook all indexer I sub too.

17th years ago, there were rarely any P2P stuff indexed and now I'm wondering what the heck happened and why am I spending too much time filtering out all these P2P groups.
