What the hell was that? My fractal PUG was rocking the T1 dailies. literally one of the smoothest groups I've ever been in, and then we came to the Silent Surf, and the rest of my party groaned about it being awful.

Being optimistic, and never having done it before, I tried to enjoy the experience. And then I left the fractal never wanting to do that again.

I don't understand how this has been in the game for this long and it has never been addressed properly. I literally felt like I was doing the Sunqua CM during that final fight.

That guy has too much HP and too many mechanics. It needs to be toned down. Even Lonely Tower doesn't feel that rough.

The guide:

Tank POV:

Example log:

Saw this thread on friday and realised there's a population of players that doesn't know one can tank greer (pretty reliably too with good practice) so greer doesn't constly knock back and throw projectil/boon corrupt on main group. There's also some pre positioning the group can do to cut down on running between gree and reeg during 65%/35% phase. I hope this guide to how my guild does our weekly kills can make Greer more enjoyable for others.

We pug 2-4 players pretty often so needed a strat that's more fool proof and less reliant on perma projectile block. We also do 5 stack emboldened to simulate a hp nerfed Greer like Decima and found the 5-6 min pacing to be more enjoyable. (Just found out we actually got the fastest embolden kill in last patch at 5:34m lul)

TL;DR Greer fixates the closest person in front of him. Have tank stay south, while main group go north. Tank dodge the green aoe atk instead of going on group. Main group up north will be close to Reeg spawn location at 65%/35% phase, kill Reeg while Gree naturally walks north to group.

One valid point that was brought up off-reddit was that, due to the way checkpoints work in this wing, it's common to start the boss and /gg just to teleport everyone and respawn close by, so I asked Plastique for more accurate data:

These are the logs uploaded to wingman in the past 30 days

| | Fails | Successes | Winrate | |

|

|

|

| | All Logs | 5617 | 2871 | 33.82 | | Greer below 90% HP | 3070 | 2871 | 48.32 | | Greer below 50% HP | 933 | 2871 | 75.47 | | Normal Mode | 3413 | 1189 | 25.83 | | Emboldened 1 | 1089 | 676 | 38.3 | | Emboldened 2 | 537 | 497 | 48.06 | | Emboldened 3 | 261 | 253 | 49.22 | | Emboldened 4 | 128 | 120 | 48.38 | | Emboldened 5 | 189 | 136 | 41.84 |

There are more ways to combine this data, but i think this is a somewhat good picture.

Yes, the data pool is incomplete because only the "higher end" uses wingman but exactly because of that you can imagine the winrate of groups that do not even use a tool like arcdps.

And to clarify one point in my previous post:

I'm not saying that Greer is too hard, I was in the RWF for Cerus and bashed my head against it when it was bugged with 160M HP, Greer is simply unfun and the changes proposed aim to making it more fun and possibily increase the winrate for other players.

If you are on wingman's discord server, the original post is here

No seriously, if the black lion had skins for

  • The gunsaber - charr, asura, and other looks
  • Jade Mech CJ-1 - Seriously we can have skins for the Krytan Watchknights, Dredge Dreadnoughts, and Asuran Golems, but also can have unique styles like the Sylvari-Pact mechano plants fusion.
  • The Celestial Avatar - New skins reflecting other forms of starry effects
  • Shrouds
  • The Jade sphere

What abilities would you like to have skins for?

Chronic altaholic, just can't pick a main lol.

I do mostly play Power builds, lots of pUntamed and pSoulbeast at the moment. Even within those two specs, I have 3 or so builds I switch to based on mood/content.

At the moment I don't have many legendary items. Only a Greatsword and Relic, the latter I find to be hugely useful.

I do have a full set of Light/Medium Berserker Ascendant Armor and a full set of Ascendant Berserker Trinkets/Amulets/Backpiece.

Constantly having to change out Runes/Trinkets is both expensive and annoying.

I have around 4,000 gold and enough materials to craft a full set of Runes/Sigils.

Would it be worth it for me to do that? Or should I go for Armor or another weapon first?

If I had Legendary Armor I'd use it, there are times when I wish I could switch to Dragon, Marauders or even Celestial, but Berserker is fine.

The weapon skills for your right hand weapon are on the left side, and ones for your left hand weapon are on the right side.
