From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

You install steam. You install tekken through steam. Its not that hard.

Ahh but you see, they doesn't want to pay for it. So this is likely the wrong sub for the ship

Im all for piracy, but cant OP make it kinda obvious at least instead of scaring away New users by making it look like Linux is way too hard

Also, there are like thousands of threads about this already on other Forums made for piracy, and its still the same: download steam or Heroic, add New game, select the exe, and play

Oh I completely agree with you. Second problem being it also looks like they're asking how and where. The resources are there, and it's still relatively simple regardless of the OS. Just sadly not the best community for this sort of question. They're going to need more than just an emulator for instance lol.

Sure. The steam version is easiest, just install steam, get the game through steam and it should just work. Heres a website that tracks compatibility with linux through proton, valve's solution to running windows games, its installed by default when you get steam: https://www.protondb.com/app/389730

Move to c/linuxquestions or something like c/linuxgaming.

What game store do you have it on?
On steam make sure Proton is on.
On epic games use Heroic.

Idk if you have the specs to run tekken 7 but you can try if you already own the game. sudo dnf install steam Then open steam and go to the settings look for compatibility and make sure thats on. Then try running tekken 7.

If tekken 7 is to laggy you can try tekken 3. If you want to try that I can type up instructions. You can either install the PC version or use a ps2 emulator and play the ps2 versions. I'd recommend the ps2 emulator because its easy and the games are easy to find.

Tekken 3 is a PS one game, not PS2.

It has no PC version. Any such thing is just the PS one version with an emulation wrapper.

Also you could try a software named "Bottles" (https://usebottles.com/download/ ).

It has a pretty simple GUI and you can click your configs together.

At first you have to define a "bottle" which simply represents an virtual environment for your Windows-Application or Game.

You can define which Windows Version you want to create and it asks you, if it is a Desktop-App or a Game you want to run. And based on that it will create an environment prepared for your Individual situation.

It also supports proton.
