As the title mentions, I had my performance review this month and one of the questions was to do with attendance, absenteeism and punctuality. I have been there for less than a year, only taking sick days where needed. Barely any time off. I have never went into unpaid leave, every day off I have had has been legally allowed (personal, annual leave). I rated myself a 4 out of 5 due to me being late a handful of times, all with explanations. My manager put me down as a 2 as I take more unplanned leave than the rest of my team. During this time, as she was aware, I went through the death of my father. It has been hard but honestly, I was originally so proud of myself for not going into unpaid. Realistically, why should I be marked down in a review when I have not gone over my government regulated personal leave days. This is probably more of a rant than anything but far out am I pissed off. I worked my ass off. I thought the company was supportive but I just can’t seem to actually like anyone in a management position.
