Anyone on here well versed enough to explain the reasons for New York’s demographic decline? All you get when talking to liberals is that it’s because of the progressive income tax and the weather.

Zohran Mamdani brought the heat on Tuesday, and torched Andrew Cuomo's bid to come back from disgrace. He's likely to become the next mayor of New York City thanks to fervent support from progressive hotbeds in Brooklyn and Queens blazing through the city's geographic center.
NYC's red corridor
CW Violence against children:
I wanted to post as ive seen this show up on "pro iran" telegrams (the child is an iranian refugee fleeing the current war) and claiming the attacker was a zionist or otherwise Jewish. There's no claims of his motives beyond intoxication.
Just thought its a good idea in case we see it posted at some point with the speculative claims.
UK Poll with Hypothecical Jeremy Corbyn party
Westminster Voting Intention (🟣 Incl. Hypothetical Left-Wing Corbyn-Led Party):
RFM: 27% (=)
LAB: 20% (-3)
CON: 20% (=)
LDM: 14% (=)
🟣 JC: 10% (New)
GRN: 5% (-4)
SNP: 2% (-1)
Changes w/ regular Voting Intention without JC.
Since it's first past the post this wouldn't mean many seats but it's interesting
EDIT: Just fyi though Wagenknecht's party in germany also polled pretty high when it was a hypothetical option in polls and then during an election they were just shy of 5% and in america a hypothetical 3rd party would poll pretty high but none of the many 3rd parties get that much.
So there's probably a big difference between hypothetical options in polls and what people would vote for considering it might be a wasted vote.
Idk why Colbert mentioned the Clyburn endorsement for Cuomo as if it would have helped him the same way it helped Hillary and Biden. It only worked then because of his influence in South Carolina, which isn’t going to matter at all in an election taking place in NYC.
Russian Lower House Allows Non-Citizens to Enlist in the Army - Telesur English

The bill aims to expand the pool of individuals eligible for military contract service. On Tuesday, the State Duma, or lower house of parliament, approved a bill allowing non-citizens to serve under contract in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces.
The legislative change, which must still be approved by the Senate before being signed into law by President Vladimir Putin, amends the country’s military service law. The bill, as stated in its preamble, aims to “expand the pool of individuals eligible for military contract service.”
Since 2010, Russia has permitted foreigners to enlist under contract in its Armed Forces. Initially, the law stipulated that any foreigner between the ages of 18 and 30 with proficiency in Russian and no criminal record could sign a five-year contract and, after three years of service, apply for Russian citizenship.
In June 2023, Russian lawmakers passed an amendment allowing foreigners to obtain citizenship after just one year of military service in combat zones in the neighboring country.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged NATO members at the alliance’s annual summit in The Hague on Tuesday to allocate at least 0.25% of their gross domestic product (GDP) to military aid for Ukraine. He argued that Russia’s military operation in Ukraine also threatens the security of Europe as a whole.
