I think many here like it. It's fun and us crashing a few Lemmy instances the past few days does resemble lemmings jumping off a cliff (even if that one is a myth) π

I don't see the relation with lemmy
Am not the first to think this since there is a discontinued lemmy app called lemmur. Plus, lemurians feel less like it's a joke compared to lemmings.
I don't have any issues with Lemmings. But I prefer lemmers and lemmians.

It's fine, though personally i'd rather just say lem or lems for simplicity if anything tbh
My vote is for Kilmisters
There's this saying 'would you jump off a bridge if all your friends did?'.
Well my friends are lovely people, they're smart and wise (some one thing more than the other). They're great friends. So if I imagine myself in a situation where all of them are jumping off a bridge I think my best option, nothing else known, would be jumping too.
So call me a fucking lemming if you want, I was starting to hate that bridge long ago

I bet that somewhere, at any given time, I'm being called something. It's a simple byproduct of anyone falling into the universalization trap.
Personally, I hate the idea of pet names for any large community.
This one is particularly awful, however. I plan on ignoring it, but if it really does catch on to where it isnβt ignorable it will have an impact on my use of the service.
