He could come here. We have a nice Minecraft magazine with, well quite frankly very little content so far. But he is welcome to post updates here.

Microsoft should create their own Lemmy instance and host official communities for all their games.

That is a great suggestion

Fall into the end dimension and eat turds Spez. GG's @Minecraft.

Holy shit. That's actually pretty huge. I have a feeling a lot of companies are going to realize how hostile reddit can be and stop officially supporting the subreddits. How much longer will /r/DestinyTheGame be supported? Ninja Kiwi only posts the full patch notes for BTD6 on the /r/BTD6 subreddit, will that go away?

Wonder where they'll go

Important to note is that the r/Minecraft subreddit (as far as I know) will continue to exist. The Minecraft developers will just leave the platform and no longer post updates regarding the development of the game on there.

So Long, and Thanks for All the Feedback, submitted by u/sliced_lime to r/Minecraft

[Post is marked with a flair as Official news, with the poster being listed as the Minecraft Java Tech Lead. Op has also upvoted this post.]

As you have no doubt heard by now, Reddit management introduced changes recently that have led to rule and moderation changes across many subreddits. Because of these changes, we no longer feel that Reddit is an appropriate place to post official content or refer our players to.

We want to thank you for all the feedback and discussion you've participated in in past changelog threads. You are of course welcome to post unofficial update threads going forward, and if you want to reach the team with feedback about the game, please visit our feedback site at feedback.minecraft.net or contact us on one of our official social media channels.

This is what all responsible game, media, and other creators need to do. Keep the "....and find out" coming.
