If it's still within warranty then I suggest contacting their support. They're very nice and will send you a replacement 🙂.

Indeed. I talked to support when it was first delivered as the packaging had been tampered with and my paranoia kicked in :) Good and helpful people.

That's sad :(. Star Labs laptops are compatbile with USB-C PD cables, so you can buy any cable certified to use 65 or 100 watts

Mrs Spudger has a vast collection of Apple cables so she came to the rescue. I just prefer the aesthetics of the StarLabs cable. It's well within warranty so I'll have a word with Support.
