Iโll miss all my goofy cat subreddits. They were kind of my go to when I was having a crap mental health day.
I was bored one day and tried counting how many cat themed subs there are. I lost count. Hundreds at least? There's stuff like "cats who yell" but also a ton of ultra specific subs like "elderly calicos sitting on grand pianos" kinda specific.
So many niche subreddits that help me explore my hobbies. Sailing, pipe tobacco. I just got into tiki style drinks and discovered a whole sub-culture I was unaware of around this.
I am going to miss just a lot of the lighthearted stuff that gave me an escape from work: HighQualityGIFs, WallStBets, funny, holdmycosmo, etc
There are already six communities with AITA already. The largest is 1.6 years old and has close to 300 members. Just join up and grow it.
I would say some of the more niche subreddits that would be harder to recreate elsewhere. Plus i used reddit a lot because i stay off of twitter and facebook because those are absolute garbage
r/internet_funeral They have surreal textual art which was pretty cool
I will miss /reddevils cause it's fun to see fans of your club interact on a daily basis. Same goes probably for all the wholesome subs, all the cute dog-content cause it was a good feeling to have positive outlets to come to and just have a few "aww"-moments.
/woodworking folks posting about the stuffy the build out of wood.
The various graphics programming subreddits. Weren't super active but every now and again there were some mind-blowing posts.
/r/aoe2 was one of my favorites. I hope plenty of users decide to make the switch.
I'm subscribed to a lot of band/artist subreddits, so I'm going to miss them

Not gonna lie, but for me, it's gonna be mostly the hobby relaxed ones like
Subreddit drama.
/r/anime_titties, which despite the name was a world new aggregator sub that did a great job of not being too euro-centric. The best part that it brought people from many political ideologies and countries, so it was far less of an echo-chamber than most news subs. It still trended left, but it was a good mix.
r/croatia, r/askbalkans r/Balkans_irl and other communities with mostly people from balkan
Fitnesscirclejerk, my favorite assposting forum
