Looks like Vegas gets about 4 inches of rain a year. The area around Vegas got about 6 to 8 with Vegas proper getting 3 to 4. I'm guessing this is one of those 1 in a 1000 year events that are starting to get more common. The problem is humans thinkingthey can set up shop wherever they want.

It seems this is working as intended i.e., roads are part of the drainage system: https://news3lv.com/news/local/hurricane-hilary-flooding-minimal-in-las-vegas-urban-area

That really sucks, but isn't Vegas perpetually desperate for water?

It's like hitting the jackpot. Most of the dimes you put in are losers, but that one time....

How did you manage to take such a terribly off center screenshot, you monster?

Alternatively, what sort of trash player puts the play button so off center?

Curious: does this all flow into Lake Mead, or does it go the other way?

Wow, and I thought last year’s flooding was pretty bad! Crazy to think weather will just keep getting crazier

Did this happen a few days ago? There was hurricane Hillary off the coast of Baja California, Mexico. That threw lots of rain and lightning on Los Angeles and the Sierra mountains. I am in the central valley, and only got a rare summer sprinkle but a wicked light show too!
