Nice I like the look of them
My first serious watch was a Casio Oceanus titanium S-100. Really an amazing watch for the money. I eventually ended up selling it, but those watches are hard to beat for the money if you donโt mind a quartz.
It's a beautiful design! I love quartz watches but I have to admit that there's something about mechanical movements. Just knowing that it's a bunch of tiny springs and gears instead of electronics is really cool despite the drawbacks.
Yeah I agree. Honestly I never thought this way when I first got in to watches.
I wouldnโt call myself a watch snob by any means, but I now understand how people become one.
The more you immerse yourself in the world of watches, YouTube reviews, etc, it seems like the less able you are to appreciate a quartz movement, which is objectively better in many ways.
I noticed that I also appreciate heritage a lot more now, and donโt like mods or homages nearly as much as I used to, although I still have a few that Iโve built myself.
What the hell is happening to me? Lol
Mine was a simple black Casio W216. I picked it up prior to basic training and it had everything I needed. 24 hour time, backlight, tough enough to survive but cheap enough to not cry about it if it somehow didn't.
But it did and I gave it to my brother who wore it for a while before losing it on a trip
