Acknowledging that they are obese is stating a fact. Claiming that they wouldn't or couldn't take good care of their dog because of their obesity is fat shaming. They're not 600+lbs-can't-leave-the-bed obese.

Came in to say this. I’m not obese though I am overweight, and can say with certainty that just working out won’t make you thin. You need diet to lose weight.

Thus, it’s bigoted to think that fat people don’t do as much physical activity as thin people.
