I'm a little envious of that reality, as stink badger is a solid go to insult that I don't think could ever catch on here.

So, German? Colloquially known as Stinktier, I.e. "stink animal". And used as a slight insult.

I was wondering about that! I knew it is that in Dutch and usually we're pretty similar linguistically, but Wikipedia said the German word was Skunke
