Separate themselves from the war on drugs, they want to use the proper terms, not terms used to denigrate swaths of people.

That's what the PacNW called it way back when we still mostly believed it was a legit way to tip the scales in our favor, (a la of, by, for) and away from the fuckin' scourge of lobbyists sent by pharma, tobacco, et al., but that's less and less rational as time wears on.
