NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A Super Bowl halftime show performer was charged Thursday with two misdemeanors, about 4 1/2 months after he ran across the field at the Superdome waving a flag that included the words “Sudan and Free Gaza,” Louisiana State Police said.

Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, 41, turned himself in to authorities to face of charges resisting a police officer and disturbing the peace by interrupting a lawful assembly, police said. He surrendered in coordination with his attorney and was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

Nantambu revealed the flag and ran on the field during rapper Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance on Feb. 9. He was detained on the field after his demonstration but not charged. The NFL said at the time he would be banned for life from league stadiums and events.

According to a statement from police, Nantambu had been hired as an extra performer and “had permission to be on the field during the performance, but did not have permission to demonstrate as he did.”

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy thanked investigators for their work.

“We take any attempt to disrupt any part of an NFL game, including the halftime show, very seriously and are pleased this individual will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” McCarthy said in a statement.

I was saying its weird to be reading the guy in the first place like its weird to read nein Kampf

I don't think this guy actually reads Dugin as much as he is fed quotes from BlueAnon people, but it's actually a good thing to be familiar with the content of Mein Kampf because it destroys countless liberal myths about Germans having the Holocaust be kept secret from them, about the Soviets believing Hitler was their ally, that the future western Allies weren't tolerant of such things, and so on. Hitler really does lay out all the most important aspects of what the Nazis would go on to do, and people around the world read his book and unquestionably saw it coming, which is a very simple proof that certain liberal readings of history around these issues are completely false. Likewise, I think that if Dugin was really that important to Russia, it is a perfectly reasonable thing to be as familiar with his work because it would help you understand the Russian state and the reactions of various other parties. The main issue is that he isn't that important.

Remember, you can't defeat fascists at scale by being ignorant of them.

Im saying this guy is an idiot for citing an asshole, okay? Youre being annoying

He's not "citing" Dugin based on Dugin being credible, he is "citing" Dugin based on Dugin being a fascist menace. He's wrong (Dugin is a fascist, but not some central influence), but the line that you've copy/pasted in like four different places doesn't make sense.
