My friend (hinduvata, somehow still less racist than most of the other white people I have to be acquaintances with for work purposes) keeps bringing up George Soros and how much he hates him.

Apparently, according to him, Soros helped the nazis during WW2 kill 60,000 jews, and also I am being paid by him.

My question of course is, who the hell is George Soros and why do I keep seeing random right wingers bring him up as if he is the final boss of communism?

Soros is a right-wing billionaire who funds color revolutions but since he is Jewish a lot of fascists think he’s actually a leftist who secretly controls the world. He would have been only 14 at the end of World War II so it seems unlikely that he could have helped the Nazis.

Ok that's actually pretty funny. My friend was talking about Soros as if he was a nazi collaborator infiltrating Jewish societies to out people. Technically, he was part of the Judenrat established by the Nazis, but he was forced to join at the age of 13 and made to hand out deportation notices (what I'm seeing in Wikipedia).
