He also warned European states not to partner with authoritarian states on AI development.

in german we say: was ich denk und tu, trau ich andern zu.

which translats to something like: what I think and do, I trust others to do

In Dutch, we have the similar "zoals de award is, vertrouwt hij zijn gasten" (roughly "the way the innkeeper is, is how he trusts his guests (to be)").
