If I was a soldier I think I would now want to inspect and dissasemble everything I was asked to use as far as I could while being confident I could get it back together.

I believe those boobytrapped pagers that Israel used against Hamas were so well designed that X-rays of them didn’t show anything unusual. I think the explosives & detonator were incorporated into the rechargeable battery. A visual inspection likely wouldn’t have caught it either.

I mean if you don't they are going to require you to use it later. I mean I get it we would not be there and desert asap or what not.
