Long time user Mullvad. But just noticed under 'report a problem' at end of settings screen, there is 'Apps logs'. If you click on that it brings up the logs of everything you've been doing on the internet. Is that secure or could Mullvad team see it?

I automatically wipe cookies upon closing up my browser. Having to log-in every time I want to see a particular post or click on a Reddit link has become quite a hassle.

The London servers serve me very well for many websites but alas Reddit appears to block this one without login.

Can you recommend any Mullvad servers not yet prevented by Reddit?

I'm not a networking professional, so please be patient if I don't phrase things correctly. I recently tried to move from ExpressVPN to Mullvad. I run the VPN on my desktop computer, not my router. The desktop also runs a simple Jellyfin server on the public IP, with a port forwarded through the router. This always worked fine with ExpressVPN, but Mullvad seems incompatible. Am I overlooking something simple, or is it just a quirk of Mullvad?

Hi,

After hesitating for a while, I eventually decided to give Mullvad VPN a try, since it is praised by pretty much every user.

I made an account and got credit for a month, to try it out. For now I only use it on mobile, with Mull Browser, and after just a day, I can't say this is a smooth experience. 2oo3 times I can't log in on reddit, or I get sooo many captcha, and many "mainstream" websites just notify my that they weren't able to open the page for me.

Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? Any setting I should adjust? It does not feel like this is an issue with Mullvad VPN, but more like a VPN-related issue.

I was very excited about this important step toward a more private web activity, so I'd really like this to work.

Hello, I'm sorry if this is not the right place to ask this question but I am unsure where to post it elsewhere.

I'm using Mullvad VPN on Ubuntu 24.04, and I'm trying to spin up a VM with internet. However when the VPN is turned on, the VM does not receive any internet. It does connect to a network.

I've been trying to get this to work for some time now, but I'm unsure on how to proceed. Does anyone here know how to solve this problem?

Okay, real talk.

There where just a pretty big outage, not the first and wont be the last. And I get that, we all get that, infrastructure is going to fail every once in a while.

But what really grind my gears is the total absence of transparency. There is a blog, there are social media accounts, but nowhere is there a mention, or even an indication that something is wrong, and there almost never are.

I don't expect real time updates, but after something like this, just doing a post saying what happened and what was done to solve it feel like kind of a basic thing.

This is a company that work with privacy and needs a lot of trust to be used, and i don't really see how anyone can keep trusting a company that wont relay stuff like this.

Mullvad website and Sweden VPN servers are down.

Just wondering what has caused this outage, was it due to the feds hitting their data center in Sweden again to cause their owned servers to go down? Mullvad still works with VPNs servers not owned by them outside of Sweden. It seems the website is slowly coming back online which makes me think it's maybe a large attack. What do you guys think or does anyone know?

Hi!

For the last 1-2 months I had some random disconnects. They happen like maybe at most once a week. And seems to happen when I play games, almost got banned a few times because I don't reconnect in time.

I would disable the VPN for the game, but then voice chat don't work..

But I'm not sure if it's the VPN that disconnects or my actual ISP. It's only down for maybe a few seconds to a minute.

Is there a way to see in Windows or the Mullvad app what's been going on? Like how often it's disconnected?

Like is there a log in Windows that can show me if its my ISP or the VPN that disconnects?

EDIT: Okay, this specific latest incident seems to be connected to Mullvad own servers. They are down atm?

So you know how iVPN has that warning in the settings?

What if the user could flip a switch in the settings that would only show up when mutli-hop is enabled to warn the user that the first hop selected and the second hop selected are from the same provider and/or country?

Doing this would add an extra layer of bullshit a threat-actor would have to get through to track where the user's traffic is going.

Hey all, a VPN hides my IP from the Internet, but does it also hide it from an .exe application I download on my computer ? Since (I guess) the .exe software has more rights/access on my PC than a random website.

For some reason mullvad on my router has big trouble to connect to a lot of servers, while some have no problem connecting. I don’t have that problem at all on the iOS or windows app. Does anyone have the same problem ?

Hi, I'm trying to set up split-tunneling for Minecraft in order to exclude it from going through the VPN. I have tried setting both java.exe and javaw.exe as exceptions in the split-tunneling, but it is still sending Minecraft through the VPN and so I can't connect to servers. I have also tried with normal java from oracle and with Adoptium which is an alternative to Oracle's Java. No luck

I'm experiencing issues when using servers located in the EU. I've tested servers in Sweden, Germany, and the Netherlands. Some pages don't load at all, and even this page Intel Driver Support Assistant says "Access Denied." Additionally, some other pages like Copilot show the error message: This page contains the following errors:

Hi all, in need of some assistance.

My school uses fortinet/fortiguard to block websites and software at my school. I believe also when you connect to the wifi you have to accept a certificate.

I use macos, and have tried everything under wireguard and openvpn settings suggested by people (and different dns servers) on reddit, and the most i’ll get is a connection to a server leaving me with no internet.

For clarification this is in no way for me to try and play games or watch videos on the schools wifi, I have a hotspot that would save me the trouble. This is just for me as an i.t. interested student to learn about network security and how the schools wifi works.
