Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, and it still doesn't work. Every time I activate Mullvad VPN, I get a Not Active (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) where my provider is Cloudflare. Any idea on how to fix this?

Hi so I watch the office on my phone using Mullvad, but how can I do this on my TV? I can't figure it out. I have Smart TVs and roku's and it seems like they do not have the mullvad app. So what do I do?

The features I use are "quantum resistance, multihop, lockdown mode, obfuscation, DAITA" connects but I don't have access to the internet, I can access the internet when I turn off the DAITA feature. Why is this happening?

Is it just me, or does the systray icon go away after this update? Even turning it off and on again within the w11 settings doesn't restore it (it still shows in the list as "on"). Reinstalling the stable version again has restored it.

Just checking if this is for everyone and a beta quirk or just me issue?

Hello everyone, new to this community as I have just downloaded the VPN. Going to China starting February, and since I was new in all this, what settings / configurations should I have enabled to be able to use the VPN fast and effectively in China?

Thanks in advance everyone!

I currently use:

  1. mullvad vpn but the 5 limit in wireguard keys is limiting me... protonvpn provides 10.
  2. anonaddy basic
  3. bitwarden family basic

adds up to $7 per month but the $10 proton unli will urge me to move to a more private email provider with the ability to use custom domains.

just want to check if anyone else was on the same boat and what did they end up doing.

I want to run Mullvad for my traffic besides a few addresses in the 10.0.0.0/24 subnet. These 10.x addresses are defined in a custom Wireguard vpn.

In this custom Wireguard config I have domains to the servers I'd like to connect to. '1.server.com' points to an ip '1.2.3.4'.

When I am connected to Mullvad and try to start my Wireguard tunnel I get a DNS resolution failure. Even if I connect Wireguard before Mullvad, when Mullvad starts, Wireguard fails. When I have the config with straight IPs, I'm able to create and maintain the connection. Why is this happening?

I have local addresses enabled and I'm able to 'dig' the correct ip when connected to Mullvad. I know that the DNS changes but this shouldn't affect it right?

Hi All,

I used to be able to Remote Access my Plex Media Server (hosted from my PC) from any device that was logged into my Plex Account. It hasn't worked for over a year and I'm not sure why.

I need Mullvad running on my PC for internet browsing and torrents. So far I have tried:

  • Split tunneling Plex and all its services and this does not work.
  • I port forwarded the specified port for Plex in my router device settings. Made sure to restart as well
  • Disabling the VPN, enabling Remote Access, and re-enabling the VPN

What bugs me is that remote access works with Mullvad disabled. So this is definitely on Mullvad's end. I've searched the internet for a few hours and have been unlucky. Has anyone been able to get Plex Remote Access to work while using Mullvad?

Been using Mullvad for months - it's been so good. Yesterday I was using it and suddenly I couldn't load any site. So I clicked on disconnect on the Mullvad vpn app and I could load pages. Click on Connect on the Mullvad app the app connected fine - Win11 says I'm connected to the net but every page doesn't load and times out.

Disconnect on the Mullvad app and the net works reconnect and it stops. Haven't changed anything DNS etc. tried switching off DAITA and Multi hop - just a simple vpn connection but no go.

Going crazy trying to find out why this laptop which was working great on Mullvad now won't load sites using the vpn. My other laptop using Win11 and the same Mullvad id works great.

Tried uninstalling Mullvad and reinstalling latest. Tried different countries. Any ideas please?

my ISP (will not name, is a major US one) i noticed is throttling certain media activities. enabling DAITA completely eliminates the throttling. has anyone else noticed something like this?

The Mullvad VPN app isn't available on my computer so I need to manually set up wireguard. Would using the proxy in Mullvad browser be similar to changing the VPN server if the app was available?

In other words would it be sort of like quickly changing servers on Android? I know traffic from my system will always be the same but I'm not worried about that. Mainly changing location to avoid blocks and captchas on reddit, etc.

This is simply getting blocked in too many places. I'm having to compromise privacy rather than save it.

Need something that is simple, no weird browser authentication with your local client that constantly breaks (Nord) and accepts crypto.

Also needs a QR / export function for WireGuard so I can import it into certain (DNS) apps.

I have a phone (no sim) that's completely isolated, never been on the local network without a VPN. I'm getting locally targeted ads in an Instagram account that is equally isolated and I have no idea how, has anyone else experienced this?

I've been a Mullvadvpn customer for the last three years or so.

In the last half a year, I've noticed a steady but troubling drop in the quality of the connections. Slowdowns, websites not loading, Mullvad blocking the internet as it tries to reconnect, that sort of thing. The frequency of these events has increased from about once a week to once a day - slowly but surely.

I use Mullvad on my Mac, my Linux Desktop, and Android. These sorts of problems appear in all of them. I used to play games with VPN (those that allow it); today, I don't even bother and turn it off because I know I get dropped out of the game. Websites that use larger bandwidth (YouTube, other media streaming channels) are the biggest problem.

In all cases, as soon as I disconnect from VPN, I have no problem.

I used to have these issues with NordVPN back in the day, and that's why I switched. I think this issue is caused as the VPN gets more popular and servers get overloaded (yes, switching servers to a different area helps, though temporarily, and it's not a good solution because I can't have an IP address from a different timezone for long). I see Nullvad ads everywhere and think many people picked up the service. As a result, it has slowed down because users are overloading the servers or because more spammers use it - in which case websites (like Amazon among others in my example) block certain parts of the website altogether, where in the past, they didn't.

My question to long-term users of the service is if they see the same pattern. Any long-term solution that helped? I like Mullvard, but I think they are becoming the victim of their own success.

I’m making the switch when my subscription from Nord expires next week. I love the anonymity of mullvad and looking forward to using it.

What are some cool things that mullvad is better than nord in?
