Hi. I would like to get started with using Mullvad (never used a VPN before), so I generated an account #, and am getting this "Please try again later" message when I tried to log in to pay for the service. I created a new account # but the result is still the same when trying to log in. I tried this on both Safari & Firefox browsers. Any thoughts?

It's always been PERFECT, now, no matter what I do in the settings, no matter what connection i select, I can't download above 300kb/s and my local network is completely unavailable, again, no matter what settings I change, I have it allowed. Same exact system same exact set up that I literally used mullvad on daily for years.

I log in and it gives me the options "BUY MORE TIME" or cancel, no option to select a connection, despite it showing "30 days remaining" at the top. I have to log out and log back in (usually only once) to even get to select a connection.

My Mullvad randomly disconnected whenever I used it on WiFi, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and now it gave me a new account number. I have 83 days left in my life old account, is there any way I can recover this? It’s asking me to add new time on it.

Whenever I log in to turn in assignments it fails to load, while I am aware there is some networking technology that halts my connection but I really do not like to shut off connection, anyway to find a work around?

I want everybody to discuss here, I even ask the community moderators to contact the developers at Mullvad and give us a good response on this, As this situation is concerning a lot of folks privacy who use the Firefox browser.

So what's up?

As ya'll might have heard through news, Firefox has changed it's ToS and is turning into an evil who's gon' collect so much personal info and bluh bluh.

Two of the greatest/well known Firefox forks in terms of privacy are Mullvad & Librewolf.

However I just noticed that the team behind Librewolf are saying on their Github that they are a small team and are not ready to mess with Firefox new changes.

How about the Mullvad browser?

Is Mullvad browser going to protect me against the new Firefox policy?

I hope I’m not the only one who thinks Mullvad VPN needs to add support for more obfuscation methods. At my school, they block all built-in (in the Mullvad client) methods. To me, this means they need to add more or better methods. I want to know what other people have to say about this because you can’t connect to Mullvad at coffee shops or school, which are both big reasons for buying a VPN.

Please tell me your thoughts on this.

I have Multihop enabled on my computer. I tried to do a traceroute, but the entry node does not appear on the route. After my router, it's the exit node. Is there a way to test whether or not Multihop is actually working?

Under Mullvad's VPN settings on iOS, I have added my PiHole IP as my custom DNS (under Use custom DNS server.)

This kills my internet access on my phone.

What is odd, is that on my mac, I have configured the exact setting to include my PiHole IP and I have no issue accessing the web when Mullvad is engaged.

Why is my phone losing internet access, but not my mac?

Hello all,

i'm looking for your advice, maybe anyone has some helpful input on the following issues.

• macOS Sequoia
• iOS 18.3.1
• Router Portforwarding is possible if needed

After i switched from Nord VPN to Mullvad i'm having some issues.

1. Mullvad seems to block the entire Internet connection when it's disconnected, tried a lot, nothing works. Kill Switch is off. I want to be able to disconnect entirely from VPN to use Plex Server. Only when i uninstall Mullvad entirely and reboot my internet connection works without VPN.

2. Plex Server doesn't work with Mullvad for me. Tried split tunneling. I don't know if that's even possible to use Mullvad with fully working Plex Media Server?

3. on iOS i keep loosing VPN connection with Mullvad very often. It reconnects again and again. Annoying but not the worst of these issues.

I would love to use mullvad since i think its a great VPN from what i know about their philosophy but its really annoying when i compare it to Nord VPN at the moment.

My question:

Is any of these issues fixable? I didn't found a solution yet. Especially the always-on-kill-switch is something i would want to fix.

And are these issues in any way related to my new IPv4 Address i got from my ISP? I requested that, before that i had IPv6. I think now it's something called Dual-Stack.

Hi, I grabbed the ip-address the mullvad website gives me for dns (dot) mullvad (dot) net, which at the time of writing is 194 (dot) 242 (dot) 2 (dot) 2.

If I put that ip-address into my pi-hole's custom DNS server (IPv4), it can't resolve any website names. I'm trying to use it to get the warning about DNS leaks away from the Mullvad browser extension, so currently I'm just using the comodo DNS pi-hole gives me.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi, does anyone experience the same? Have it as Adblocker on my Pixel private DNS, more or less became unusable, as multiple pages take 30 seconds and more to load.

tried importing the password file from firefox browser passwords.csv file, imported : 0 says

-and no interface for saving passwords for the websites

Any info on that please?

I am trying to do something similar to what tailscale + mullvad does, where I can be connected to my private network but also have mullvad for the 'public' traffic.

What I have attempted is to set a wireguard server (wg-easy with docker) on my homelab, and have that one connected with mullvad (normal install, allowing LAN access).

I can connect to the server always, but if mullvad is connected I can't connect to the internet or lan. Is there a way to achieve this that's simple?

Tailscale + mullvad gave me many headaches and some machines just refuse to see the mullvad exit nodes no matter what I try, so I wanted to test if it's possible to do this way.

A long time ago I used to use Google VPN when that was still a thing but the speeds sucked, and now I'm having the same issue with Mullvad. I love the total anonymity thing, but I also don't like sacrificing my latency in games like Fortnite or Helldivers 2 and needing to turn my VPN off everytime. I've also tried using Wire guard and switching my port, turning off quantum protection etc. It just ends up not connecting at all. I usually use the Texas servers as I'm based in the USA

Anyone know what’s wrong? I just bought mullvad because I use a vpn often to bypass school WiFi blockers and have been using hotspot shield which has been working perfectly but it’s ad riddled and annoying to use, so I decided to get mullvad since it’s half the price of premium hotspot shield, but it doesn’t work for bypassing school WiFi like hotspot shield did, any one know why? And is there a way I can setup mullvad to do it as I would rather use it, iPhone by the way

I’ve been using Mullvad VPN on my UDM Pro Max, and it works great. I recently set up a WireGuard Multihop configuration directly on my network (so all clients are routed through it).

However, I came across Mullvad’s 5-device limit, and I’m wondering:

• Does this limit apply when running the VPN at the router level (UDM)?
• If all my devices are behind the UDM, does Mullvad see them as a single client?
• Have you experienced any issues (performance, connection drops, bans)?

Would love to hear your thoughts if you’ve tried something similar.

I have an OPNsense firewall and I set up the "Road Warrior Setup", which worked fine for months. Today, it suddenly stopped. I didn't make any config changes or anything and my payment is good until mid April (I even logged in to confirm). Any idea what happened? There is no handshake in WireGuard but the server (de-fra-wg-004) shows green (so no issues).

I run Mullvad on my PC 24/7. I have a subscription to it so why not, I also do a lot of piracy on my Uni accomodation network so trying not to catch an internet suspension.

Lately have noticed that Twitter, Reddit and today Youtube will all time out. I usually use the London server since that's where I'm based but also noticed it on some Scotland servers.

Is this likely to be a temporary thing or is that it gone? This is really annoying and don't want to sacrifice ping or internet speed by having to connect to servers further and further away.

Does Mullvad "renew" servers and change IP addresses or does Youtube/Reddit/X clear banned IPs every now and again?
