I want to be able to use virtual desktop on my quest with my host pc (Windows 10) with mullvad enabled, but there's no way to add the virtual desktop host service to split tunnelling as the server application is a .msi file, and only exe files can be added to the split tunnelling list. Is this something I can work around, or is mullvad split tunnelling just not supposed to work with msi files? Feel free to ask questions, although I don't check reddit all the time so I might not respond until a day or so later.

Anybody else having trouble with getting Mullvad to connect after updating to 18.3.2? I was on 18.3.1 and all was well; the instant I updated my iPhone to 18.3.2, Mullvad will absolutely 100% never successfully connect. Says “NETWORK ISSUES Your device is offline. The tunnel will automatically connect once your device is back online.” Sometimes the control center will show the VPN icon cycling on and off repeatedly, even though Mullvad itself has already given up.

I’ve tried restarting, as well as deleting Mullvad and reinstalling. No dice. Other devices, including my iPad (on iOS 18.3.1) and my Mac, using the same account, continue to work flawlessly. If I switch the iPhone to using Cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 app, that VPN works fine and I can access the Internet.

The only remaining remedy I can think of is to downgrade back to 18.3.1 while I still can, but that’s obviously suboptimal.

Anybody else having this problem?

This has seems to have been happening for the past 2 weeks now on any server that I try.

I know this isn't an issue with my internet connection as turning the VPN off resolves the issue. It seems to happen when connected to both wifi and ethernet

I have tested a dozen servers in North America and I always average around 300/300 on 1000/1000 ISP. I understand speed will be significantly slower due to a VPN. Using wireguard does not make a difference. Is there an artificial cap?

Hello! I was wondering if there is a way for me to access tailscale ip's when I have mullvad running. Currently when I am connected to mullvad VPN I am not able to access my tailscale network, is there a way I can split tunnel specific ip's so mullvad does not block them? Thanks. (Windows)

In Korean communities, Mullvad VPN is often considered better than NordVPN or ExpressVPN. What do you think? Leaving out extra features…

Looking at things like transparency reports or cases where authorities failed to obtain user data due to a strict no-logs policy, NordVPN seems to have more documented instances. It’s not that Mullvad VPN has none, but there just aren’t enough to be confident in their track record.

So, what makes you believe that Mullvad VPN aligns better with the core purpose of a VPN? And is there any solid evidence to back that up?

so im trying to set up a homeserver. i have pihole running on the server with unbound so i can use it as a recursive dns. my household uses mullvad on the various clients that would be connecting to the server over lan only. if i set a custom dns in the client through mullvads app interface, will mullvad still hijack the dns?

Hey everyone,

I’m using Mullvad VPN on macOS, and I’m having an issue where my connection randomly disconnects and reconnects within about 5 seconds. While this isn’t a huge problem for regular browsing, it becomes a real issue during Zoom meetings or other real-time applications.

What I’ve Tried So Far:

• Checked logs, sent them to Mullvad support, but no solution.

• DAITA on/off – no difference.

• Quantum Resistance on/off – no difference.

• Multihop on/off – sometimes changing these settings makes the disconnects happen even more often.

• WireGuard obfuscation settings (Auto, Off, Shadowsocks, UDP) – nothing helped.

The disconnects happen constantly, no matter what I do. Sometimes it’s once an hour, sometimes more frequently, but it’s always there.

Is this something others are experiencing as well? If anyone has a fix or a workaround, I’d really appreciate your help!

Mullvad is great so far but has made my weather preview on the lock screen/home screen of my Google Pixel inaccurate and not auto refreshing — which, yes, means it's working! Hooray!

However this is the one thing that I want more lax permissions for. Yet I have no "Google Weather" app and can't find an obviously named system app that controls it so that I can split tunnel to let it do its thing.

Does anyone know which app to select? Or if there is a better way to do this? Thanks!

I have an upcoming China trip. Generally had to use Mullvad to access a few US based utility payment and bank sites that just won’t get through with my normal HK based esim.

Has anyone tried Mullvad while on a foreign esim in China? I know it’s having problems with the local wifi/sim connections but hoping to get clarity on whether access through a non china sim is usable.

It seems like Los Angeles lost 6 of its Mullvad servers over the past couple of months, and apparently it wasn't really their fault.

But with that huge billboard campaign in LA since the start of the year, I have a feeling they’ve picked up quite a few customers in the area!

Do you think we can expect to see some new servers added anytime soon?

I'm on Windows 11 I tried both IPv4 and IPv6 and I've been using Toronto and Montreal servers. I used OpenVPN originally which worked for the first time but afterwards wouldn't be able to get past attempting to connect. I've looked for an answer for a few hours but nothings worked so far thanks in advance :-)

I'm encountering a weird issue with Version 25.4 on my Windows 11 laptop. I can download the .exe file and run it just fine. Clicking the Run Mullvad VPN checkbox at the end sends up a working dialog window and working VPN features as far as I can tell.

But I can't seem to find where the shortcut to just start the now-installed vpn on boot is? This basically means that every time I restart my computer, I have to reinstall the .exe just to get the option to open the VPN.

I've sent a ticket to support, but I just want to see if there is some wrinkle I'm missing. Has anyone else dealt with this?

I use Qbit with Mullvad(I did bind them together). Now privacy- / Security wise, Should I uncheck the UPnP / NAT-PMP option in Qbit settings, or can I keep it checked and ignore it since Mullvad doesn't port forward anyway?

I've seen a lot of talk about how the internet restrictions get a lot tighter around the time of China's Two Sessions talks.

These ended yesterday but Mullvad is still yet to be back to it's former glory, I will give it til the end of the week but I feel as though this could be the end. Very Sad as mullvad has been incredibe to me these past 10 months.

Did a little testing. VPN Safety Dot slows down internet speeds. When not using VPN at all, I can get speeds around 350 mbps on Google TV. I get around 80-90 mbps using VPN and Safety Dot. Over 100 mbps not using Safety Dot with the VPN.

Do you recommend using Mullvad's "Private DNS" on Android while using their VPN? I don't know if you remember but there are leaks of DNS on android and mullvad talked about it about a year ago. By using their DNS on "Private DNS" (android settings) while using the vpn too, will my ISP see my network traffic or will it all be encrypted and private? I need someone who knows a lot about this.

Hi all, first of all when I use a local file as a home page, on first launch it takes a long while to load - whereas it's almost instant on other browsers, is there any way to fix that?

Secondly, and I appreciate this is probably not recommended but I'm unable to set the new tab page to be the same as the home page (or local file I would like to use.) I have tried with autoconfig files, and whilst the browser can read some of the preferences I set to test the file was working, it doesn't seem able to read the code to set the new tab page reddit link to new tab instructions both version tested as I believe Mullvad Browser is using ESR. I expect that may harm the point of using this browser? Equally, I'm reluctant to install new tab extensions for the same reason.

Are there any easy fixes? Other than that, I'm enjoying the browser very much.
