I tried to beat half life 2 in VR in one go, ironman, no checkpoints and the stream had more attendance and donations than I could have possibly expected. Just wanted to say thank you if you were there.

Debating uploading a vod! I got all the way to nova prospekt on the last run before getting smoked by a combine nade. 13 hours of gaming without leaving the headset.

Gonna do it again sometime and try to beat it, but now I need to sleep!

I played these games in VR recently and enjoyed it so much I thought it would be funny if I was in them for up to 16 hours. Rules are also that if I die I have to restart from the beginning, so I will almost certainly not succeed this first attempt, but if the response is good I’ll be giving it another go a month or so from now!

Was planning to do this anyway, but thought I would stream it and open donations up. 50/50 split between Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund and my local DSA Chapter (were cool and want to get a space for mutual aid work + climate action and some other stuff). Trying to raise 500 bucks as a stretch goal!

Back home I'm a radlib DSA PMC karen that spends time doing things like feeding folks with fnb, strike support, etc. I know it's a tall order but I'm trying to see how I might connect with this community in amsterdam so I can see the whole way of life and not just the 40 argentinean steakhouses in the canals. any suggestions welcome!

didn't even know there was a warrant from a ticket i got 6 months ago. 2 days in county. they kept me for a day after the judge ordered my release. said I "slipped through the cracks"

for expired tags. stripped searched, kept in holding alone all night with nothing but a concrete slab to sleep on and a combined toilet / water fountain. they took my fingerprints, scanned my eyes, made me undress in front of them again, put me in a block, and made me wait. they didn't give me a phone account to call on, didn't give a fuck, and lost me in their system.

for expired license tags

I knew prison sucked, I've hated cops for longer than I can remember, but the cruelty first hand of this system will stick with me forever, and I was only there two days. nothing can communicate what prison is other than being there. it is just a torture facility, nothing else.

i only got out because of DSA comrades annoying them on outside, otherwise I would probably have been in there at least another day.

its a super wet dough, 60/40 ap and bread flour, whipped honey, oat bran, butter, some salt, the classics ya dig. no idea how it will come out but the yeast is very active for sure
